You Rock!

We think that you are amazing, and we wanted to let you know!
At Rumney Chapel we believe that everyone is uniquely created with purpose and loved so much by God.
We love that you’ve found the rock and scanned the QR code! Feel free to take the rock home with you, or leave it in the park for someone else to find.
Whilst you’re here, let us introduce ourselves to you.
Who Are We?
Rumney Chapel has been serving our community of Rumney for over 100 years. We are a diverse group of people from all walks of life, but we are united by our love for Jesus Christ.
We believe that everyone deserves to feel loved and welcomed, no matter who they are or what they have been through. We are a place where you can come as you are and be yourself.

Mike Thomas
I’m one of the Church Leaders here at Rumney Chapel. I’ve lived in the area ever since Jan and I got married 25 years ago and love being part of the community in Rumney.
Over the years I’ve been involved in planning lots of different community events and programmes, including the Rumney Beach and Santa’s Sleigh Runs.
I love being part of the family at Rumney Chapel. It’s a really friendly, vibrant church where everybody is welcome, whether you’ve been to church a million times, or you’re coming through the doors for the first time.
If you’re interested in the Christian faith, and want to find out more then I’d encourage you to come along to the Sunday Service. It’s held at 10:30am every week. You can be sure of a warm welcome!

Jenny Seal | Kidz Klub Leader
I moved to Rumney in 2020 with my husband Mark and our two daughters. I didn’t know anyone in Cardiff but, because of the very warm welcome we received at Rumney Chapel, we soon felt settled. The Chapel is a fun, family-friendly, joyful place which shines with love for God and the local community.
My fave times of the week are helping with the Chapel’s Kidz Klub on a Thursday evening and on a Sunday morning. I love seeing the children playing crazy games, learning about the Bible in fun and creative ways and growing in their faith and friendships.

Elizabeth Ayodele | Welcome Team Leader
I joined Rumney Chapel 2015 when I moved to Rumney with my two children. My intention was to look for any African church around the area, and on one Sunday morning I set out looking for a place to worship. I spotted Rumney Chapel and immediately when I walked in we received a warmed welcome.
My children loved Kidz Klub Sunday and the Youth Class, and I was moved with the praise and worship. The Spirit of God was definitely working in our midst.
I have been leading the Welcome Team on Sunday morning for a few months now and I always look forward to Sunday morning as going to the Chapel feels like being part of one big family.

You’re Invited!
We think Sundays are the best day of the week! Drop in to the Sunday Service at 10:30am and find out why. You are always welcome.
